Who are YOU Calling a Liar?
Are You Calling God a Liar?
This happens more often than you may initially recognize, and likely you are guilty of it as well.
We trust God. We know that He is omniscient and that He only speaks truth. We accept that, until . . . He speaks to us personally. Then for whatever reason it can be a very different playing field. He speaks to our soul, “You are my child and are of tremendous worth” and we say, “No. No, I’m not.” His spirit whispers to us, “You are beautiful and powerful,” and our response is, “Not me. I’m of no significance.”
So . . . can God lie?
I used to think that confidence and humility were some kind of balancing act. Now I realize that we need a tremendous amount of both. We know that we are nothing without the Savior, but we are everything to Him. He is our strength, our everything. As the forces of darkness increase here on the earth, the Lord needs an army of valiant warriors who will stand in confidence and power.
In His confidence and His power. When He calls us to do seemingly impossible tasks, we need to trust Him, and trust that He will raise us to the task. Embrace the truth “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” (Phillipians 4:13) We can, and we will.
